This year see’s the 63rd anniversary of the EiC (Etchingham Improvements Committee).

For those that are not aware the EiC was founded in 1953 at the time of the Queen’s Coronation.

The committee was founded so as to raise money for the upkeep of the Queens Gardens that were gifted to the village by a local resident & to provide entertainment & social activities for the good of the village.  This is still our main aim some sixty three years on.

The first event was a Village fete that was held in the Queens gardens & then the Flower & Dog show was introduced just 5 years later. We pride ourselves on maintaining these traditional events as well as adding in a few others along the way.

The money raised at the two events pays for a free to enter Firework display for the whole village in November, as well as contributing towards park benches , play equipment & other good causes not covered by the usual funding methods.

We are a totally voluntary organisation so any new members or supporters are always welcome.
